Anybody Know Anything About Optical Imaging?

“The tactical optical viewing market place is still in its infancy and is already reaching $500M in sales,” states Gil Oren, Small cap/special situation analyst of DBnewswire.com in the report, citing that Sciax stands to benefit from this growing market. (Source: Yahoo News)
There are only a few people/companies that are using optical imaging technology – usually they’re either in military or biotech industry. Gil Oren was right, the technology is still in its infancy – a lot of people are still unaware of how great this technology is.
Anyhow, I came accross this company when I did my research a couple of days ago: Sciax Corp. (Symbol: SCXC). Here are the company highlights:
1. WELL POSITIONED AT THE RIGHT TIME: Sciax has a unique, market leading, niche product. Fallout from massive terrorist action against the United States in September 2001 has resulted in a significant reassessment of security requirements and needs. Massive changes to the availability of technology funding are occurring. Wolf Pack and its multi-operational design positions Sciax to fulfill critical needs in many security environments. The company is well positioned to target markets and grow in this environment.
2. LARGE UNTAPPED MARKET: The tactical optical imaging industry is a new industry in the security and homeland defense market. The market size is estimated at between $100 and $300 million annually. The market size is due to explode with the growth of the homeland security and defense sectors.
3. ADVANCED MARKET: Sciax’s products are technological leaders in security markets for remote viewing technology. Sciax has the opportunity to become a market leader in its field. Sciax has specifically designed (rather than adapted) products for the security and defense sectors. The company’s products are fast becoming industry standards.
4. LIMITED COMPETITION: The Company’s competition to date consists of two main companies – Instrument Technology Inc. and Search Systems Inc. Sciax’s product is ergonomically and technically far superior to the competition.
5. ENHANCING SHAREHOLDER VALUE: Sciax is reorganizing its corporate structure with a view to maximizing growth potential and enhancing shareholder value. A principal feature of this reorganization is to spin-off approximately 12% of the shares of a newly incorporated company, Sciax Defense USA Inc., to SCXC shareholders. Sciax Defense USA Inc. will ultimately hold the IP for the Sciax group.
And here’s the company profile:
Sciax Technology, Sciax is an emerging leader in defense imaging systems for law enforcement and military personnel engaged in counter-terrorism and other special security operations. Sciax America Inc. and Sciax Technology Inc. are wholly owned subsidiaries of Sciax Corp. (Other Sciax is the manufacturer of Wolf Pack under license from Eomax. Wolf Pack is the Company’s tactical remote viewing system used by law enforcement and military organizations in North America and Europe. Customers include, military and law enforcement agencies of the US and German Governments, contraband interdiction units of Canada Customs, and LAPD-SWAT.
It is the mission of Sciax Technology to provide unique solutions to optical inspection challenges faced by the industry. Sciax’s primary goal; Uncompromising Customer Focus through Innovation, Quality and Service.
Sciax’s commitment to this goal and their plan for continued growth is supported by a focused and well motivated team engaged in all aspects of product development, sales, marketing and technical service. An expansive and expanding list of both long term and short term development projects means you can count on Sciax to deliver practical technology solutions today and in the future. Currently the stock is traded at 6 cents/share. I’d definitely invest my money in this company, Sciax Corp. (Symbol: SCXC). The price/share is still low, the company is in good industry, and better yet…it’s a new technology which nobody seems to be aware of it yet. That’s why they don’t have a lot of competitors. This stock is definitely fall under a strong buy category! My advice, put your money in this company while the price/share is still not high yet. In short term, you probably won’t make any money…But in long term, if you have already owned a couple of thousand shares and then one day, the stock goes through the roof, you know what that means…..It’s pay day, buddy!
